Momora is a private family memory journal for the moments that are easy to forget. Save a story as text, dictate it by voice, attach photos or videos, and optionally turn written memories into AI illustrations.

You can save plain text, text with an AI illustration, a photo/video memory with an optional caption, or a kept sound: one recording of up to two minutes with an optional short note. A sound memory holds just the recording, with no photos or AI illustration alongside it. A media memory can contain 1–10 photos or videos. Images can be up to 20 MB. Videos can be up to three minutes; Momora compresses them before upload, and the uploaded file must fit the 100 MB limit.

Tap the mic and record for up to two minutes. When you stop, you choose what happens next. Turn into text transcribes and cleans up what you said, places the text and suggested family tags in the editor for you to review, and discards the recording. Keep the sound saves the recording itself as the memory, so a laugh, a song, or a mispronounced word stays exactly as it sounded. Momora writes a short note from what it heard, which you can edit or replace, and keeps a hidden transcript so you can find the memory later by searching. A kept sound cannot be re-recorded or replaced after you save it.

No. For a written memory, turn off the AI option to save it as plain text. You can also attach your own photos or videos instead. AI character portraits are used when you choose the illustrated-memory experience.

You add a profile photo for a child or family member, and Momora creates a consistent illustrated character. When you save an illustrated text memory, Momora analyzes its tone and uses the ready portraits of tagged family members as references. AI output can be imperfect, and you can retry a failed or unwanted illustration.

Text-only and photo/video memories can tag any number of family profiles. An AI-illustrated memory can tag up to six; if you select more than six, Momora turns the AI option off until the selection returns to six or fewer. Momora can suggest tags when a name or nickname appears in your text, and you can change the selection before saving.

The app interface is currently in English. You can enter memory text in other languages, but transcription and AI results may vary by language.

Looking Back is a quiet way to revisit older memories. When a worthwhile group of at least four eligible memories is available, the Timeline may show a daily package that opens into a read-only story viewer. Packages do not create streaks, reminders, or pressure to add anything new, and whether you have opened one is personal to your account. Kept sounds are not included in Looking Back packages for now.

Yes. An owner or manager can create a private, single-use invite code. The invited person redeems it, and an owner or manager approves the request after checking their name and email.

The owner controls the family journal and is the only person who can delete it. Managers can add, edit, and delete memories and child profiles, invite members, and moderate comments. Viewers can browse the journal and may like or comment, but cannot change journal entries or profiles.

Yes. Every active family role can like and comment. Momora shows aggregate like counts without a public liker list. Comments show the account display name, and their author or a family owner/manager can delete them.

They lose access immediately. Memories and child profiles they added stay with the family journal unless an owner or manager deletes them. If the person's account is later permanently deleted, the remaining content no longer identifies them as its creator.

Yes. From a shareable text, illustrated, or photo memory, tap the share icon to create a watermarked PNG and open your device's share sheet. Momora does not create a public link. Video memories and kept sounds cannot be shared this way. Owners and managers can always share; viewers can share by default unless an owner or manager turns that permission off. Once you send a card to another person or app, that recipient or service controls its copy.

Momora is not a public social network. Journal data is limited to active members of the family, with role-based access controls. Photos, videos, portraits, and illustrations are kept in private storage and opened through time-limited signed links. Only invite people you trust.

Depending on the feature, Momora sends relevant memory text, profile details, profile photos or portraits, the first photo in a photo memory, or temporary voice audio to OpenAI. We send only what is needed for the requested feature. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default. See our Privacy Policy for the complete breakdown.

Images attached to memories are re-encoded before upload to remove EXIF data, including GPS and device metadata. Momora may use a selected photo's capture date on your device to suggest the memory date, but it keeps only the date. Video-container metadata is not currently stripped.

Enter your email address and Momora sends a six-digit, one-time code. The production app does not require a password or a Google or Apple social-login account.

Yes. Family owners use Momora Plus, with an annual plan offered by default and a monthly option. Current U.S. list prices are $99.99 per year and $12.99 per month. Eligible new owners may receive a seven-day trial on the annual plan. The App Store or Google Play shows the price in your currency, trial eligibility, taxes, and renewal terms before purchase. The subscription belongs to the family owner, so invited household members do not need separate subscriptions. If the subscription ends, the family can still read the journal and the owner can still export it, but creating or changing memories, likes, comments, media, and AI generations requires renewed access.

Yes. A family owner can open Settings and choose Export your memories to create a private ZIP archive with structured journal data and the available photos, videos, kept sounds, portraits, and illustrations from families they own. The archive opens in the device's share sheet. Export remains available after a Momora Plus subscription ends. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. Deletion is scheduled for 15 days later, and you can cancel it from Settings during that grace period. If you cannot access the app, use our account-deletion form.

Deleting a memory removes its text, tags, photos, videos, kept sound, illustration, likes, and comments. There is no recycle bin or recovery feature, so confirm before deleting.
